Spoken(Palestinian Colloquial) Arabic

Description: The course is aimed at complete beginners and is designed to enable learners to communicate in spoken (Palestinian Colloquial) Arabic within a limited range of everyday situations using the four skills: listening , speaking reading and writing. The course introduces the students gradually to the Arabic writing system and enables them to read and write basic words and sentences. Emphasis is placed on the learner’s ability to speak and listen. All the teaching material at this stage , will be written phonetically to facilitate and speed up the learning process, and gradually the Arabic letters will be introduced.

Upon completion of the course, students should be able to:

1. Recognize and correctly pronounce all Arabic sounds.

2. Ask for basic information and communicate in simple, routine situations.

3. Talk about yourself, your education, and your family.

4 .Be aware of basic cultural aspects of social interaction in the Arab world.

5. Understand short, simple messages and announcements.

6. Use different forms of greetings and pleasantries correctly and confidently.

The course is taught on zoom, all classes are in a group setting (8 - 12 participants) consisting of 24 teaching hours (2 lessons per week- each lesson 1.5 teaching hours)

Teaching material

Talk Arabic ( the teacher will provide you with the coursework and all needed materials).

Extra teaching material, and audio recordings designed and prepared by the teacher.

Cost: 950 NIS, Including all the teaching material, worksheets and recordings.

Number of lessons : 24 teaching hours - 2 lessons per week (90 minutes each class)

When: The following classes are opening July 19/July 20 (there is no class the week of Sept 5)

Sunday and Tuesday: 12:00 - 13:30

Monday and Wednesday: 16:00 - 17:30
